**Job Title: Med-Surg RN - 10 Bed Acute Rehab Unit (Night Shift)** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse for a 10 Bed Acute Rehab Unit specializing in Neuro and rehabilitation care. This unit primarily serves patients undergoing rehabilitation for various conditions, including neuro rehab, CVA, spinal injuries, and orthopedic care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced acute rehabilitation environment. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Monitor and assess patients' conditions, responding promptly to changes and emergencies. - Educate patients and their families on care plans, medications, and rehabilitation processes. - Assist in training and mentoring new hires and nursing students, contributing to a supportive learning environment. **Work Schedule:** - 12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend commitment required. - Assignments typically conclude on Saturday nights. - Orientations occur bi-weekly on Mondays. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty, particularly in Med-Surg or Rehabilitation settings. - Valid BLS certification required. - Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is highly preferred. - CRRN certification is a strong plus. - Travel nursing experience is required. - Active Virginia or Compact RN License must be valid at the time of application. - All requests for time off (RTO) must be provided upon submission. **Additional Information:** Please note that the institution may cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior based on the census.
