**Job Title: Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours **Location:** Marquette, Michigan (Interested candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility) **Facility Overview:** Join a leading specialty care hospital with 225 beds, featuring services such as: - Heart & Vascular Institute - Cancer Center - Brain & Spine Care - Rehabilitation Services - Behavioral Health - Digestive Health - Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management - Women’s Health - Pediatrics This facility is equipped with the region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services and is situated in Marquette, the largest community in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, home to Northern Michigan University. **Position Responsibilities:** As a Medical/Surgical RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring their well-being through efficient assessment, planning, and intervention. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing a patient load with a ratio of 5:1 to 6:1, utilizing telemetry monitors and automated IV pumps to optimize patient outcomes. **Qualifications:** - **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required. - **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in a medical/surgical setting is preferred. - **Certifications:** Current ACLS certification is required. - **Skills:** - Critical thinking and decisive judgment - Ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful conditions - Strong communication skills **Dress Code:** Scrub color: Galaxy Blue (Navy is also acceptable). Fingernails must be clean and not excessively long. Tattoos that may be considered offensive must be covered.
