**Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse** **Shift:** 7 AM - 3 PM **Position Type:** Full-Time **Contract Duration:** 91 Weeks **Guaranteed Hours:** Yes **No. of Positions:** 1 **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional patient care in our Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the post-operative care of patients recovering from anesthesia, collaborating closely with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other healthcare professionals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in the PACU using the Nursing Process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. - Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to ensure the safe delivery of patient care. - Anticipate patient needs and plan care accordingly, maintaining a focus on safety and recovery. - Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development. - Delegate patient care responsibilities based on the education and experience of available staff. - Offer direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care. - Ensure all assessments, interventions, and outcomes are documented accurately. **Qualifications:** - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). - Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
