**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for a Night 3x12.0 shift. As an RN, you will play a vital role in maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. You will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, embodying our commitment to excellence and team collaboration. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans. - Identify patient and family teaching needs aligned with each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. - Provide timely patient information for Initial Team Conferences and Re-evaluation Team Conferences, ensuring accurate and succinct documentation of all assessments, interventions, and responses per policy. - Actively participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, prioritizing education for patients and families. - Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission, with relevant patient teaching to facilitate a smooth transition post-discharge. - Ensure effective communication of any changes in patient status between care providers to promote continuity and safety in care. - Mentor and supervise ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques and effective organizational skills. - Safeguard personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies. - Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment through team-building activities and clear communication with nursing staff and management. - Identify and assume charge responsibilities as needed following the orientation period. - Continuously pursue professional development and education to enhance nursing skills and care quality. - Undertake additional duties as requested to support the nursing team and patient care goals. **Qualifications:** - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to the first shift. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to the first shift for certain facilities. - Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required. **Behavioral Skills:** - Strong commitment to patient and employee safety. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. - Competence in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
