**Job Title: Night Shift Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)** **Location: [Specify Location]** **Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for our fast-paced Clinical Observation Unit. This role requires providing high-quality patient care with a focus on meeting the diverse needs of our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to team collaboration. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver patient-centered care in a clinical observation setting with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. - Conduct assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed. - Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and nursing staff, to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions. - Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and interventions. - Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment for students and new hires. **Requirements:** - A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty (Medical/Surgical nursing). - Active BLS and ACLS certifications required. - Previous travel nursing experience preferred. - Familiarity with Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a plus. - Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at the time of submission. - Willingness to commit to weekend shifts, typically 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs. - All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application. **Schedule:** - 12-hour Night shifts, with assignments ending on Saturdays. - Orientation sessions conducted bi-weekly on Mondays. **Important Note:** The position may be subject to client cancellation up to 36 hours prior to shifts depending on patient census. **About Us:** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
