Job Description

**Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) **Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a critical access hospital with a focus on providing excellent obstetrical care. This role is suitable for both experienced RNs and first-time travelers who have at least 2 years of relevant experience. The nurse will be responsible for comprehensive care in antepartum, labor, postpartum, and newborn care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum. - Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health using external fetal heart monitoring and intrauterine pressure catheter placement. - Assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for cesarean sections. - Manage labor and delivery processes in a couplet care model with expected patient ratios of 1:3 for couplet care and 1:1 for intrapartum. - Implement care plans, administer medications, and maintain IV lines as required. - Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and proper use of PPE. - Participate in triage assessments of obstetrical patients. **Requirements:** - Current RN license valid in Washington (or compact state). - Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience; a strong candidate may be considered with 1 year of experience if they have managed at least 150 deliveries per month. - Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP. - Proficiency in charting using Epic; this is a hard stop requirement. - Experience with anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, and central line management is essential. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. - Ability to float between units as required. **Facility Features:** - Type of Facility: Critical Access Hospital with a total of 25 staffed beds. - Charting System: Epic. - Patient Care: Daily focus on neonates, adolescents, and adults with a monthly volume of 200-300 facility births. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in high-risk antepartum care. - Familiarity with surgical recovery for C-sections and sterile vaginal exams. - Knowledge of effective triage techniques for obstetrical patients. **About ARMStaffing:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
