**Job Description: Night Float RN - Hawaii** We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a night float position in beautiful Hawaii. The position offers the opportunity to work within various medical and surgical units, ensuring diverse clinical experiences in a dynamic healthcare environment. **Position Details:** - **Shift:** 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 - **Schedule:** 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation - **Contract Length:** 91 weeks - **Floating Requirements:** Must be willing to float between medical, surgical, and occasionally cardiovascular units **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various units, including medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and cardiovascular units. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. - Utilize Meditech EMR for patient documentation and medication management. - Manage equipment such as pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes. - Maintain a safe and conducive environment for patients, families, and staff. **Qualifications:** - **Licensure:** Active Hawaii RN license required before the start of the assignment. - **Experience:** 2-10 years of nursing experience in medical or surgical units preferred. - **Certifications:** BLS required; ACLS preferred. Additional certifications in PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are a plus. - **Nurse to Patient Ratio:** - Medical: 1:6 for days/eves, 1:8 for nights - Laulima: 1:6 - Cardiovascular: 1:4 (varies due to staffing needs) **Dress Code:** Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs. **Training and Orientation:** Comprehensive orientation tailored to different units will be provided.
