**Job Title:** Emergency Room Nurse (ER) - Night Shift **Location:** Michigan **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Contract Length:** 20 Weeks **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at a Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department. This role requires a strong background in trauma care and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the emergency department. - Manage high patient acuity levels, with ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:6, and potentially higher during peak times and holidays. - Participate in trauma team activations and care for level I trauma patients. - Administer medications and perform emergency procedures as needed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EPIC charting. **Qualifications:** - Current state nursing license (Michigan). - Minimum of 2 years of Level I trauma experience preferred; 1.5 years may be considered if accompanied by required skills. - Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS by AHA, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIH. - Preferred experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration, as well as triage experience. - Ability to work weekends and agree to a schedule that includes three weekend shifts (Friday to Sunday) per a four-week schedule. **Additional Information:** - The unit supports a high-volume emergency department with an average daily census of approximately 250 patients and 100 beds. - Joint Commission accredited with a strong commitment to patient care and employee well-being. - Must be willing to work two out of three major holidays, with the option to request one holiday off. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
