**Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (Night Shift, Part-Time)** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological entities as ordered by physicians. This role requires independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety measures, ensuring optimal patient care and safety throughout the imaging process. **Schedule:** - Shift: 11 PM to 7 AM - Every Other Weekend - Part-Time (40 hours per pay period) **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations. 2. Review clinical data on requisitions and conduct appropriate examinations, obtaining additional patient medical history as necessary. 3. Prepare the procedure room and replenish linens and related supplies regularly. 4. Analyze anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform radiologic procedures while utilizing patient immobilization as needed. 5. Select and administer intravenous contrast media when required, monitoring patients for any potential reactions and providing immediate care as necessary. 6. Demonstrate principles of radiation protection, including patient shielding and utilizing ALARA techniques to reduce exposure. 7. Prepare and set up sterile equipment and supplies for procedures, following infection control practices. 8. Ensure patient care functions meet department standards for safety, privacy, confidentiality, and comfort. 9. Complete necessary documentation, including work sheets, logs, and patient records. 10. Assume responsibility for teaching and educating new hires and students, balancing this with personal responsibilities. 11. Resolve image exceptions within PACS, ensuring high-quality image delivery. 12. Complete study indexing in the Radiology Information System (RIS), including study initiation and completion. 13. Confirm clinical protocols with the Radiologist before performing studies. 14. Uphold team standards of excellence, including effective communication, positivity, and respect for diversity. 15. Document all necessary information in the medical record and radiology information system to support clinical and billing functions. **Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. - Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry-eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of hire). - Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS) required. - Commitment to customer service values and the ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect for diversity in the workplace. **Physical Demands/Working Conditions:** - Work in hospital settings, including fixed units and mobile units. - Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment. - Ability to lift or move equipment and patients exceeding 10 lbs. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
