Job Description
**Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse** **Location: [Specify Location]** **Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of compassionate patient care. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and education for both patients and their families. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate pertinent patient information to the healthcare team and participate in developing solutions for variances from patient goals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery department. - Utilize nursing assessment skills to formulate effective care plans. - Delegate, supervise, and document care accurately while teaching patients and families. - Communicate important patient/family information with the healthcare team. - Participate in problem-solving to address and resolve care variances. **Requirements:** **Experience:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing. **Certifications:** - Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). - Basic Life Support (BLS). - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). **Skills:** - Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities for developing patient care plans. - Ability to perform a variety of professional nursing services. - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel. **Education:** - Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing school. - Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). **Licensure:** - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. **Additional Information:** - We allow one week of Request Time Off (RTO) during the contract. - Experience with CPN and Cerner is preferred.
