**Job Title: Med Surg Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN) - 12H Night Shift** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med Surg Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, 12-hour night shift position. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. ### Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med Surg Orthopedics unit, with 60% of duties focused on orthopedic care and 40% on general medical care. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare and improve patient outcomes. - Monitor patients’ conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed. - Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory guidelines. ### Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg and Orthopedics nursing. - Current BLS certification is required. - Travel nursing experience preferred. - Experience in a teaching hospital is highly desirable. - An active Virginia or Compact License must be provided at the time of submission. - Candidates must be willing to work a minimum of two of three major holidays each year and be flexible with scheduling, including 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs. ### Additional Information: - Orientation sessions are held every other week on Mondays, with assignments starting on specific dates. - Candidates must be prepared for potential client cancellations up to 36 hours before an assignment due to census fluctuations. - Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
