**Job Description: Physical Therapist (PT)** **Shift:** Tuesday through Saturday, 08:00 - 17:00 **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 40 **Location:** 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital **Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital. Our facility is devoted to providing specialized treatment and recovery for individuals who have experienced severe injuries or illnesses. As a PT, you will play a crucial role in delivering customized and intense rehabilitation programs to patients on their recovery journey. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and medical records. - Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with various disabilities including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic injuries, and neurological conditions. - Provide hands-on therapy focusing on improving patient mobility, strength, and function. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care and recovery outcomes. - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment techniques as necessary to ensure optimal recovery. - Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols and the rehabilitation process. **Qualifications:** - Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification. - Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred. - Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care. **Patient Population:** The ideal candidate will work primarily with adult patients, providing tailored rehabilitation services to enhance their health and quality of life. **Work Environment:** You will be working in a supportive and dynamic environment with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including Cerner EHR.
