**Job Title: Med Surg Oncology RN - 12 Hour Night Shift** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated Med Surg Oncology RN for a 12-hour night shift position. This opportunity is set within a dynamic and engaging environment that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals, including students and new hires. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients within a medical-surgical setting. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems. - Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols and guidelines. - Monitor patient vitals, respond to changes in condition, and provide timely interventions. - Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, care procedures, and health maintenance. - Participate actively in the unit’s quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities. **Requirements:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing specialty, specifically Med Surg or Oncology nursing. - Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred. - Proven travel experience in various healthcare settings is essential. - Active Virginia or Compact Nursing License is required upon submission. - All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application. - No chemotherapy certification is required for this position. - Must be available for orientation every other week on Mondays. - Requires flexibility to work 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs. **Additional Information:** - Assignments end on Saturday with potential for cancellation up to 36 hours prior due to census changes. - This is a local position, specifically open to candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility. --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
