**Job Title: Oncology Registered Nurse** **Shift:** 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM **Unit Name:** 2 North Oncology **Location:** 1401 Johnston Willis Dr, Richmond, VA 23235 **Number of Beds:** 24 **Patient Ratios:** 5-6 patients per nurse **Job Description:** Join our dedicated team as an Oncology Registered Nurse, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and other oncology treatments. You will collaborate with a skilled team in a supportive environment that prioritizes patient experience and safety. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of patients' conditions. - Participate in bedside shift reports and utilize whiteboards for effective communication with patients and families. - Conduct hourly safety rounds to ensure patient safety and comfort. - Engage in comprehensive patient education regarding treatment plans and health management. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. **Requirements:** - Current RN license and a minimum of a Medical/Surgical nursing background. - Availability to work 4 weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) as part of the schedule. - Excellent communication skills and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. **Unit Equipment and Documentation System:** - Utilize Meditech for documentation, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping of patient information. - Communicate effectively using iMobile phones to connect with staff, physicians, and patients. **Additional Information:** - A strong commitment to patient experience has led this unit to receive various awards for improved patient outcomes. - This is a great opportunity to work with an experienced team in a well-equipped environment. - Join a team that values continuous education and improvement in patient care standards. **Dress Code:** Navy Blue scrubs required. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
