**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)** **Location:** Marquette, Michigan **Shift:** Night (19:00-07:00) **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours **Contract Length:** 91 weeks **Overview:** Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in a Level 2 ICU at a specialized care hospital renowned for its Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, and more. We offer a collaborative environment where positive team players thrive, delivering exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art facility. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 24-bed ICU. - Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation and various advanced equipment, including Baxter IV pumps, Prisma Flex CRRT, and more. - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. - Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in our electronic health record (EHR) system, Cerner. - Supervise and mentor junior staff and nursing assistants as required. **Patient Population:** - Adult patients with diverse conditions including post-open heart surgery, heart and respiratory failure, trauma, surgical interventions, stroke management, and septic shock. **Qualifications:** - Required: - Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) - Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience, particularly with vented patients - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Willingness to float as needed - Preferred: - Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, and pediatric DKA **Work Environment:** - Fast-paced ICU with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2. - Opportunities to float within the unit on a rotational basis with travel nurses. - Supportive leadership and staff committed to ongoing education and nursing excellence. **Dress Code:** - Scrub colors: Galaxy, Royal, or Navy Blue. - Unacceptable attire includes hoodies and open-toed shoes. **Housing Recommendations:** Local housing resources are available to assist with your relocation to Marquette. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
