**Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist** **Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. This position involves performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients under general supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CT protocols and the ability to provide quality patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Patient Interaction:** Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination. Review clinical data and gather additional patient medical history as necessary. - **Procedure Preparation:** Set up the procedure room and ensure that supplies such as linen and equipment are available and properly stored. - **CT Scanning:** Analyze anatomical structures, operate CT machines, and manually control equipment settings to obtain diagnostic images. - **Contrast Administration:** Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions, providing immediate care if necessary. - **Assistance with Procedures:** Collaborate with Radiologists during complex diagnostic procedures, including biopsies. - **Radiation Safety:** Employ principles of radiation protection, including patient shielding and minimizing exposure by using ALARA techniques. - **Imaging Quality Control:** Resolve image exceptions within PACS and ensure high-quality image delivery. Manage all study indexing in the Radiology Information System (RIS). - **Documentation:** Document procedures accurately in the medical record and within the radiology information system to support clinical and billing functions. - **Teamwork:** Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, adhering to team standards of excellence. **Schedule:** - Three 12-hour shifts from 3 PM to 3:30 AM, every other weekend. Occasional 11 AM to 11:30 PM shifts may occur. Shifts cannot be scheduled on consecutive days. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** - Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. - Current BLS certification. - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT procedures, particularly biopsies. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient care and support. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Experience with working in a hospital setting or an ambulatory mobile unit. **Physical Demands/Working Conditions:** - May involve exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients. - Physical lifting and moving of equipment or patients occasionally may exceed 10 lbs. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
