**Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology** **Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:30) **Location:** New Brunswick, NJ **Facility:** State-of-the-Art Cancer Center Opening May 2025 **Position Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Interventional Radiology department of a brand-new, state-of-the-art cancer center. As part of this innovative facility, you will be integral to providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. This position requires strong skills and experience in stroke management, as well as a solid understanding of interventional procedures. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as the primary RN, responsible for scrub and circulation duties within procedural rooms. - Monitor and manage patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including conscious sedation recovery. - Assist with the care of patients requiring PICC line placements, while collaborating with Physician Assistants for insertion. - Floater RN responsibilities; may be assigned to both the main hospital and the cancer center as needed. - Utilize specialty equipment, including EKOS +, A-line, and procedural wedge pressures. - Provide care for patients undergoing acute stroke and trauma interventions. - Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license in New Jersey or a valid Compact license. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a stroke center; Level I or II experience preferred. - Experience in Interventional Radiology is highly desirable. - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. - Experience with specialty equipment and procedural care is essential. - ED or ICU experience is preferred. **Patient Care and Environment:** - Expected to manage a diverse patient population with various diagnoses in a high-acuity setting. - Participate in patient education regarding procedures and recovery. **Scheduling and Availability:** - Full-time commitment with no block scheduling. - Required to be on-call 2-3 days per week. - Flexibility to float between different units as necessary. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
