**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care Unit (12-Hour Night Shifts)** **Location: Kearney, NE** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Care Unit, working 12-hour night shifts. This role requires a strong background in cardiac nursing and flexibility to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med Surg as needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team, and maintaining a positive patient experience. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver compassionate and evidence-based care to cardiac patients, including those with conditions such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, and CVAs. - Float between PCU and Med Surg units based on patient census and needs. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to infection control protocols. - Provide education, support, and advocacy for patients and their families. - Participate in unit activities and contribute to a team-oriented environment. **Schedule Requirements:** - 12-hour night shifts from 6 PM to 6:30 AM. - Required to work 2 weekends per month, subject to unit needs. - Additional flexibility required as needed by the unit. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license in the state of practice. - Strong background in cardiac nursing is essential. - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. - Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not mandatory; candidates without pediatric experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. **Patient Demographics:** - Adults and pediatric patients over 8 years of age (when applicable). - Common diagnoses include open hearts, CHF, COPD, OD, sepsis, CVAs with TPA treatments, DKA, and some neuro cases. **Additional Information:** - Scrub colors: Navy blue, black, or charcoal gray. - No self-scheduling; schedules will be created based on the needs of the unit. - Nurses must be prepared to float as required. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
