Job Description
**Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) / Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)** **Position Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a focus on pediatric patients in the NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings. This position is night shift, working 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric respiratory care and be comfortable floating to various units, including Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide advanced respiratory care for pediatric patients, including ventilator management and emergency interventions. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate and implement treatment plans. - Evaluate patient conditions and respond to emergencies in a fast-paced clinical environment. - Conduct assessments and interpret diagnostic results to guide care decisions. - Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices and equipment usage. **Qualifications:** - Current and valid Ohio RRT license. - Active certifications: NBRC, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS (all certifications must be in hand at the time of submission). - Minimum of two years of experience in a pediatric, NICU, or PICU setting. - Must be willing to complete two fingerprinting processes as per facility requirements. - Candidates must be nicotine-free and pass a negative 10-panel drug screening, including nicotine, within the required timeframe. **Additional Information:** - This is an 8-week contract position. - All scheduling requests and time-off (RTO) must be communicated during submission and interview. - The selected candidate must complete online training modules (approximately 4-5 hours) prior to starting. **COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination:** - COVID-19 vaccination is required with exceptions made for medical or religious reasons only. - Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions.
