**Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)** **Location:** Martinsville, VA **Shift:** 19:00 - 07:00 **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36 **Contract Duration:** 91 Weeks **Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our dynamic healthcare team in a full-service acute care hospital environment. This facility has been a vital part of the community for over 50 years, providing comprehensive healthcare services, including surgical services, emergency care, and specialized treatment options. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, using evidence-based practices and adhering to established protocols. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care interventions. - Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory support systems. - Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and the use of respiratory equipment. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety standards and regulations. **Qualifications:** - Required certification/licensure to work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Virginia. - ACLS, BLS, and NRP/PALS certifications (HWC certification available on-site). - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting. - Ability to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility as needed. **Unit Information:** - Department: Respiratory Therapy - Patient Population: Serves all ages, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients. **Work Environment:** - The facility is licensed for 220 beds and provides a wide range of medical specialties and services. - Collaborative and supportive work culture, with an emphasis on professional development. **Dress Code:** - Scrub color: Any color or pattern; no casual wear permitted. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
