**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Nights** **Shift:** 7:30 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts, Per Diem) **Location:** [Location details] **Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join our dynamic healthcare team on a per diem basis. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs looking to provide exceptional patient care in a critical care setting while enjoying the flexibility of night shifts. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver safe, high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Provide direct patient care within the scope of nursing practice, ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards. - Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patients' conditions. - Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient status, changes, and urgent care needs. - Educate patients and families about health conditions, medications, and post-discharge planning. - Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in line with HIPAA regulations. - Comply with federal and state regulations, including EMTALA, while reporting any child/adult abuse issues to appropriate agencies. - Float to different units as needed, demonstrating versatility and competency in various care settings. **Qualifications:** 1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA or Red Cross). 3. Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in the ICU. 4. Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate. 5. COVID-19 vaccination preferred. 6. Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus. 7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. **Professional Requirements:** - Complete required compliance training, including Sexual Harassment Prevention and Orientation. - Participate in necessary health screenings and immunizations, including TB tests, Hepatitis B, and Influenza vaccinations. - Undergo a criminal background check as part of the onboarding process. **Why Join Us?** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
