**Job Description: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse** **Shift:** 19:00 - 07:00 **Location:** Hendersonville, TN **Unit:** OB - The Birth Center **Cost Center:** 660 **Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. Our Birth Center boasts 20 LDRPs and 5 OB assessment beds, with an exceptional focus on patient experience, staff innovation, and delivering outstanding care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and their families, managing a patient ratio of 1:3-4 couplets and 1:1 for all active labors, VBACs, and those on laboring magnesium sulfate or insulin. - Conduct triage assessments for early labor and cervical ripening with a staffing ratio of 1:1-2. - Perform advanced nursing skills, including couplet care, circulating in the operating room, and conducting procedures such as vaginal deliveries, versions, cesarean sections, and postpartum tubal ligations. - Document patient care using CPN and Meditech systems. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop patient-centered care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Participate in bedside shift reporting to enhance communication and improve patient experiences. **Qualifications:** - Valid RN license with a strong background in Labor and Delivery and Intermediate fetal monitoring. - Certifications required: BLS, NRP, Stable, AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring. - Experience in triage assessments and advanced skills in couplet care. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. **Unit Information:** - Innovative pilot site focused on enhancing nurse workloads and patient outcomes. - Commitment to excellence with recognition as an HCA Unit of Distinction in 2021. - Fully equipped with GE fetal monitors and Novii systems, ensuring cutting-edge technology to aid in quality care. **Dress Code:** - Required uniform: Shocking pink scrubs (no pale pink or mauve). **Work Environment:** Join a highly experienced team in a welcoming atmosphere, dedicated to providing superior care.
