**Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full-Time Nights** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in a full-time night position. This role requires a commitment to working through the holiday season, with a contract length ranging from 20 to 26 weeks. As an LPN, you will provide both direct and indirect skilled nursing care to our residents, demonstrating your knowledge and skills in a collaborative healthcare environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver age-appropriate nursing care while adhering to established policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). - Continuously collect and assess data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial conditions, communicating findings to the RN and other Interdisciplinary Team members. - Develop and contribute to culturally relevant care plans that reflect nursing diagnoses and interventions to achieve desired outcomes, involving residents and their families in the process. - Evaluate resident outcomes and make recommendations for revising care plans, ensuring all aspects of care are addressed while promoting a healthy and safe environment. - Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain knowledge and competency in nursing practices, and participate in the mentoring and orientation of new staff. - Demonstrate leadership in the professional setting under the guidance of the RN, considering factors related to safety, cost, and impact in the delivery of care. - Understand and comply with safety protocols, managing exposure to blood-borne pathogens and maintaining infection control measures. **Qualifications:** - Valid New York LPN Licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI). - A minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams. - Ability to provide care to geriatric residents, with a focus on their specific needs across the life span. **Behavioral Characteristics:** - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality care. **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
