**Job Title: Operating Room Nurse - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)** **Shift:** Night (18:45 - 07:15) **Experience:** Minimum 2 years in the Operating Room (OR) **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team for night shifts, specializing in neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics. The successful candidate will play a critical role in surgical patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency in the operating room. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Circulating and Scrubbing:** Must possess the capability to scrub and circulate for various procedures, with strong experience in at least two of the following specialties: neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics. - **Patient Care:** Provide comprehensive care before, during, and after surgical procedures, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed. - **Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes. - **Documentation:** Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systems (Epic). **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience (not considered if out of the acute OR setting for more than 6 months). - Successful candidates will have scrub and circulate experience. - BCLS certification is required. - Traveler experience is preferred; local applicants are also welcome. - Flexibility to float to other units as needed, based on current staff and patient needs. **Unit Details:** - Patient Census: Approximately 45 cases per day across 17 operating rooms. - Special Procedures: Experience in neuro and ortho spine procedures is prioritized, along with additional specialties (vascular, robotics, urology, podiatry, oncology GYN). **Orientation:** A minimum of 36 hours of orientation, excluding Epic training. **Work Requirements:** - No call required. - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. - No time off in the first week due to orientation. **Skills Required:** - Proficiency in neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, and robotic surgical procedures. - Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
