**Job Title: Surgical Technologist (CST)** **Shift:** 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM **Unit Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This specialized unit features 5 beds with 3 open ORs and 2 hybrid rooms, supported by a dedicated staff of 15 healthcare professionals. The typical patient ratio is 1:1, ensuring high-quality, personalized patient care. **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by assembling required instrumentation and equipment. - Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and effective workflow. - Monitor equipment and instruments during surgeries, anticipating the needs of the surgical team. - Collaborate with RNs, ATs, and PCTs to maintain optimal patient care and surgical outcomes. - Participate in the maintenance and inventory of surgical supplies and instruments. **Required Qualifications:** - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Certification as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR). **Typical Procedures:** You will gain exposure to a diverse range of cardiovascular procedures, including but not limited to: - Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) - Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR) - Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) - Aortic Replacements - Vascular Procedures - Heart Transplants **Work Environment:** You will thrive in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
