**Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a night shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts). The RN will play a vital role in maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring that nursing care plans are effectively followed. This position includes supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), as well as guiding orientees in their professional development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of their admission, forming the basis for individualized care plans. - Identify patient and family teaching needs and collaborate with them and the Interdisciplinary team to set goals related to their diagnosis. - Provide timely patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses according to policy. - Actively participate in the patient rehabilitation program and take responsibility for direct patient care by applying the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care with a focus on patient and family education. - Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and introduce patient teaching in anticipation of discharge. - Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care, collaborating with attending physicians and Charge Nurses. - Offer direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, effectively using problem-solving techniques, organizing, prioritizing, and delegating appropriately. - Ensure both personal and environmental safety, adhering to established hospital and nursing policies. - Contribute positively to team dynamics by providing direction and reassurance to staff, patients, and families. - Maintain open communication with management regarding service needs, including supplies, equipment repairs, and clinical training. - Oversee charge responsibilities as requested after the orientation period. - Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study. - Prioritize and plan activities to ensure effective use of time and staff for meeting patient needs. - Perform additional duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** - BLS Certification required prior to the first shift. - ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY). - Minimum of two (2) years of acute bedside clinical experience preferred. - Experience in LTAC, Stepdown, or PCU is highly desired. **Why Join Us?** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
