**Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist II** **Shift: 6AM - 4:30PM, 4 Days a Week (Monday - Friday), Must be Available for Weekend On-Call** **Job Overview:** We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures, supporting cath lab staff orientation and training, and adhering to medical ethics in the execution of all tasks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in training and orienting Cath Lab staff as needed. - Monitor diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures and ensure patient safety throughout. - Recognize and interpret ECG waveform morphology, wave patterns, and their significance, responding appropriately to lethal arrhythmias. - Understand and document the administration, indications, and dosages of cardiac medications, both generic and trade names. - Alert physicians to abnormalities in clinical laboratory values such as arterial blood gases, electrolytes, and hemoglobin. - Execute cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as required during a full cardiac arrest situation. - Provide support during interventions, including PTCA, directional, and mechanical rotation atherectomy, as well as the use of extraction devices. - Maintain accurate records of catheterization events in the database computer. - Prepare appropriate supplies and set up the procedure table for diagnostic cardiac catheterizations. **Qualifications:** - High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. - Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology). - Must possess a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification. - Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (ACLS within six months of hire). - Minimum of one year of experience working in a Cath Lab, including scrubbing, diagnostic procedures, and peripheral interventions. - Experience with Structural Heart and Electrophysiology (EP) preferred but not required. - Must exhibit a team-first mentality with a commitment to patient care and departmental collaboration. - Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. **Physical Demands/Working Conditions:** - Ability to work in a sterile environment for extended periods. - Capacity to wear lead aprons weighing up to 5 lbs. - Physical capability to assist with lifting patients and pushing stretchers as necessary. **Why Choose Us:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
