**Job Description: Occupational Therapy Assistant** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. As a vital member of the rehabilitation process, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help improve patients' mobility and overall physical health. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in conducting therapy treatments aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and physical wellness. - Support patients in performing exercises and adhering to treatment plans. - Monitor and record patient progress to ensure the successful completion of treatment goals. - Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey. - Collaborate with patients to find solutions that improve their quality of life and functional independence. - Work with injured employees to enhance their motor skills, facilitating their return to the workforce. - Instruct patients, family members, and caregivers in techniques to support the patient’s treatment program. - Keep patient records updated for review by the Occupational Therapist. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment areas, equipment, and office spaces. **Qualifications:** - Active COTA license is required. - CPR certification is required. - Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience preferred. - Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
