**Job Description: Night Shift Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse for a Night Shift position that involves working 3-12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience and hold a valid nursing license in Ohio or a compact state. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients requiring medical-surgical telemetry services. - Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely interventions when necessary. - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress using the designated electronic medical record (EMR) systems. - Participate in ongoing education and training programs, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments. **Qualifications:** - A minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry prior to travel. - Current and active nursing license in Ohio or a valid compact state license. - BLS and ACLS certifications are required; candidates must be willing to obtain NIHSS prior to starting. - Must provide one recent reference from a managerial position (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team-oriented environment. - Must be willing to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required. **Unit Details:** - Fast-paced telemetry unit with diverse patient populations. - Supportive interdisciplinary team. - Commitment to exceptional patient care and outcomes.
