**Job Description: Cardiac Care Registered Nurse (RN)** **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Location:** 5T PCU **Number of Beds:** 33 **Patient Ratios:** 3:1/4:1 **Unit Overview:** Join a dedicated team in our 5T Progressive Care Unit, specializing in the care of post-operative cardiac patients, including CABGs and vascular surgery. Our unit is characterized by a mixture of experienced staff and new nurses, all committed to impeccable teamwork and high standards of patient care. **Responsibilities:** - Provide exceptional nursing care to cardiac patients recovering from surgical procedures. - Manage and titrate cardiac drips, electrolyte replacements, chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR bands. - Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care. - Document patient information accurately using the Meditech documentation system. - Participate in ongoing education and departmental meetings. **Qualifications:** - Current RN license and certifications: BLS, ALS, and EKG Interpretation. - Experience in caring for post-operative CABG, vascular, and general cardiac patient populations. - Strong understanding of cardiac monitoring and critical care procedures. **Scheduling Requirements:** - Must be available to work every other weekend. - Full-time commitment of 36 hours per week, with flexibility to fill scheduling needs. **Dress Code:** - Required uniform: Scrubs in Galaxy Blue, Red, or Black. **Certifications Required:** - BLS, ALS, EKG Interpretation. **Additional Details:** - Comprehensive orientation with unit-specific policies and guidelines provided. - Opportunities for professional development and training available. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
