**Job Title: ICU Nurse – Burn Unit** **Location:** Nashville, TN **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Unit Name:** Burn ICU **Number of Beds:** 12 **Patient Ratios:** 2:1 for ICU patients; 4:1 for med/surg and PCU patients **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Nurse to join our team in the Burn Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing with a focus on patient-centered care. As an ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and providing care for patients in a high-acuity setting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality patient care for critically ill patients in the Burn ICU. - Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary. - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety. - Document patient records accurately within the Meditech documentation system. - Participate in patient education, supporting families during challenging times. **Qualifications:** - Current and valid nursing license. - BLS and ACLS certification required. - Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a critical care (ICU) or med/surg setting preferred. - Ability to demonstrate advanced nursing skills and competence in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with ventilators, specialty beds, and CRRT is a plus. **Unit Specifics:** - Unit staffing includes Charge RNs, RNs, and PCTs to support patient care effectively. - Floating may be required as per policy, with priority given to contract labor. **Dress Code:** - Navy scrubs are required in the Burn ICU. **Why Choose Our Unit?** Join a team that is recognized for excellence in patient care.
