**Job Title: MRI Technologist** **Shift:** 7 AM - 7 PM (12-hour and 8-hour shifts available) **Location:** Janesville, WI (Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center) **Position Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. You will contribute to patient care by ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, while efficiently managing the technical aspects of MRI imaging. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute MRI procedures under the order of licensed medical practitioners to aid in diagnostic interpretation. - Prepare patients for procedures, providing necessary instructions to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation. - Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to mitigate risks to patients, staff, and others. - Skillfully select and operate MRI systems and associated equipment, positioning patients respectfully to clearly demonstrate areas of interest. - Immobilize patients as required during examinations and select appropriate pulse sequences adhering to established protocols. - Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access, and prepare and administer contrast media. - Verify consent and screening forms, ensuring proper scripting, barriers, and patient identifiers are utilized. - Assist physicians with interventional procedures while practicing aseptic techniques and observing universal precautions. - Evaluate images and data for technical quality, manipulating digital data for display and ensuring correct identification. - Maintain comprehensive records and reports using radiology information systems, including PACS. - Initiate basic life support actions as required and provide guidance to colleagues and students. **Education & Experience:** - Graduate of an accredited radiography program. - Previous experience in MRI technology. **Certification/Licensure:** - ARRT Radiography registration required. - ARRT MRI registration required. - Approved CPR or BLS certification required. **Position Urgency:** Normal **Contract Weeks:** 84 --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
