**Job Title: RN - Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit (Nights)** **Location:** Goldsboro, NC **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Telemetry and Intermediate Care unit. This position involves working night shifts in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population with cardiovascular and medical-surgical needs. The ideal candidate will have telemetry experience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to manage acutely ill patients. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 28-bed Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit. - Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings, interpreting changes and making timely interventions. - Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in the Epic charting system. - Participate in on-call duties as needed, with a report-in time within one hour of being called back. **Qualifications:** - Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or compact license. - Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a telemetry or intermediate care setting. - Strong experience with cardiac conditions, including heart failure and post-procedural care following catheterization and pacemaker/defibrillator placement. - BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. - Experience with telemetry monitoring, including remote and on-unit monitoring. - Intermediate care experience is mandatory; travel experience is preferred. - Ability to handle COVID patients; compliance with vaccination requirements is a must (no exemptions accepted). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Unit Details:** - Staffing ratio: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients during the day; 1 nurse to 5-6 patients at night. - The unit specializes in managing patients with various cardiac conditions, offering advanced therapies such as CPAP/BiPAP, antiarrhythmics, and vasoactive drips. **How to Apply:** If you meet the qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please submit your application along with a recent Nursys report.
