**Job Title: Oncology Nurse** **Shift: 19:00 - 07:00** **Location: Richmond, VA** **Unit Name: 2 North Oncology** **General Description:** We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Oncology Nurses to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced 24-bed unit. As an Oncology Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care to individuals undergoing chemotherapy and other procedures in a supportive environment. This position requires medical/surgical background with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology patients. - Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. - Perform hourly safety rounds and participate in bedside shift reports to ensure patient well-being. - Utilize advanced documentation systems (Meditech) for accurate patient record-keeping. - Actively participate in unit initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction. - Communicate effectively using iMobile phones to coordinate with team members and clinical staff. **Unit Specifics:** - **Patient Ratios:** 5-6 patients per nurse. - **Staffing:** 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) per shift and 1 Unit Secretary during day shifts. - **Floating Policy:** Floating as needed based on unit requirements. **Qualifications:** - Valid nursing license in the state of Virginia (or eligible). - Medical/Surgical nursing experience is a must; oncology experience is a plus. - Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. - Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a high-demand setting. **Schedule Requirements:** - Must be available to work 4 weekend days, specifically during Saturday and Sunday night shifts. **Dress Code:** - Required uniform is navy blue. **Additional Unit Highlights:** - Participate in a Dedicated Education Unit known for its commitment to staff development and continuous improvement in patient experience. - Utilize innovative technology to streamline communication and improve patient care. - Join a team recognized for its achievements in enhancing patient satisfaction and overall care quality. **Guaranteed Hours:** - Full-time position with guaranteed hours over a contract period of 91 weeks. --- **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
