**Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit** **Shift:** 19:30 - 07:30 **Location:** Las Cruces, NM Join an exceptional healthcare facility in the picturesque Mesilla Valley of southern New Mexico. We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide compassionate care in a recognized Joint Commission Accredited facility known for its commitment to quality patient care. **Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients. - Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, assess needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. - Float to other medical-surgical units as needed, providing support and care for patients across various levels of acuity. - Maintain detailed documentation of patient care and progress in the electronic health record (EHR) system (Meditech). - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. **Qualifications:** - Current RN licensure in the state of New Mexico (or eligible for licensure). - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Must be willing to complete fingerprinting as per New Mexico state requirements. **Unit Information:** - Number of Beds: 199 - Patient Ratios: 1:6 - Weekend hours required: Every other weekend **Why Choose Us?** Enjoy the endless opportunities for outdoor recreation, including scenic hiking and biking trails, nearby parks, and the beauty of the Organ Mountains.
