**Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical/Telemetry** **Shift:** 19:30 - 07:30 **Location:** Las Cruces, NM **Contract Length:** 13 weeks **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend **Call Requirements:** None **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care for diverse populations, including adult and geriatric patients. Your expertise is invaluable in creating a safe and effective environment, promoting patient wellness, and facilitating a positive patient experience. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver evidence-based nursing care as part of a collaborative healthcare team. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records utilizing the Meditech electronic health record system. - Monitor patient health, recognizing and responding to changes in condition in a timely manner. - Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care. - Float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed to ensure continuity of care. - Adhere to all safety and health regulations, demonstrating the highest standards of care. **Qualifications:** - Must hold a valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or possess the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing environment. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. - Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Unit Information:** - Number of Beds: 24 - Patient Ratios: 1:6 - Supervisor: Ronn Wilson - Specialty Areas: Med-Surg, Telemetry **Education Requirements:** - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. **Dress Code:** - Scrubs (any color acceptable). **Why Join Us?** At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
