**Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse** **Location: Roanoke, VA** **Shift: 19:00 - 07:00** **Contract Duration: 91 Weeks** **Positions Available: 1** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Nurse to join our team in Roanoke, VA. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency department environment. You will work on a team committed to caring for critically ill patients and contributing to effective patient outcomes. **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 8 - **Daily Staff Count:** 6 (Day Shift: 2 RNs, 1 EMT, 2 Mids RNs; Night Shift: 2 Night RNs) - **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 - **Type of Equipment:** GE EMR, Meditech **Responsibilities:** - Provide nursing care for patients with high and low acuity in the emergency department. - Administer medications and perform lab tests as needed. - Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure optimal patient care. - Ability to manage critically ill patients in a timely and efficient manner. **Qualifications:** - **Required Certifications:** ACLS, PALS, BLS - **Experience:** Prior Emergency Department nursing experience is mandatory, with a strong emphasis on caring for critically ill patients. - **Preferred Skills:** TNCC, ENPC **Personal Attributes:** - Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team. - Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. **Schedule:** - 4 weekend shifts required per schedule. **Dress Code:** - Navy Blue Scrubs --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
