**Job Description: Labor and Delivery RN** **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Contract Length:** 13 weeks **Location:** 50-mile radius restriction applies; must live outside this range. **Job Overview:** Join our dynamic Labor and Delivery team as a Registered Nurse (RN). In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery. You will be responsible for maintaining safe practices and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You will work closely with a dedicated team in a high-volume, critical environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections. - Monitor and assess patients through different stages of labor. - Utilize external fetal heart monitoring (EFM) and perform sterile vaginal exams. - Manage patients' care, including starting and maintaining peripheral IVs and handling insulin drips. - Provide support in the recovery of C-section patients. - Adhere to isolation precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. - Triage obstetrical patients and manage complications with appropriate interventions. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. - Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP. - Previous charge experience is desirable. - Proficient in Epic charting system. - Comfortable managing patient ratios of 6:1 during shifts. - Experience with facility births per month (100-200). **Facility Information:** - Daily census of approximately 12 patients. - 12 labor and delivery beds available. - Capable of providing care for infants and expectant mothers. **Travel Compliance:** - Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility. - A maximum of 3 days of pre-approved time off (RTO) is permissible. - No RTO will be approved on holidays. **Application Requirements:** - Complete an application with your updated resume and relevant certifications. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
