**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Oncology** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Night Shift team for a 13-week contract in Med Surg MT5 Oncology. The RN will play a crucial role in protecting, promoting, and optimizing patient health and alleviating suffering through effective nursing practices. This position involves comprehensive care for patients and their families while ensuring compliance with all professional standards and regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a designated group of patients. - Serve as the primary nurse or accountable nurse as per unit assignment, focusing on safety, effectiveness, and quality of care. - Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management, leveraging available resources. - Administer medications safely and effectively while adhering to pharmacology guidelines and organizational policies. - Participate in productivity measures and resource management, ensuring careful use of time and supplies. - Comply with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. - Engage in Nursing Shared Governance by participating in unit councils and supporting quality improvement initiatives. - Commit to continued professional development, education, and mandatory training. - Integrate nursing research and current evidence-based practices into patient care. - Foster a supportive learning environment for new staff and students. - Uphold healthcare values and perform other duties as assigned. **Skills & Experience:** - Minimum of 6 months to 3 years of nursing (RN) experience. - Direct clinical experience preferred for 5+ years. - Strong collaboration and communication skills (both verbal and written). - Critical thinking and judgment capabilities. - Organizational and time management skills. - Problem-solving abilities and a focus on safety and risk management. **Education:** - Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. - Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. **Certifications & Licensure:** - Required: Current New York State RN License, BLS Certification. - Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty and relevant skills certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as necessary. **Schedule:** - Night shift, 36 hours per week for 13 weeks, with a focus on Med Surg MT5 Oncology. --- **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
