**Job Title:** Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Night Shift **Location:** Alaska **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a night shift position. This role is essential in providing high-quality administrative and resident care support within a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain professionalism while assisting both residents and healthcare teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide general administrative support which includes answering telephones, scheduling appointments for residents, faxing and filing documents, and maintaining an organized work environment. - Build and maintain relationships with residents and their families, facilitating admission processes, reassessments, and documentation collection. - Assist in onboarding and training new employees, ensuring compliance with competency standards and training schedules. - Manage employee communications, illness tracking, and timekeeping responsibilities. - Process orders for nursing and office supplies; ensure all requisitions are sent to the Administrator for approval. - Enter all billing details into relevant medical records for efficient billing purposes. - Assist the Care Coordination team by helping residents with applications to various services/agencies, and handling Advance Directives and Power of Attorney documents. - Document team meeting notes and action items within the electronic medical record system. - Provide resident care as needed and within the CNA scope of practice, ensuring confidentiality and tact. - Schedule medical appointments and ancillary services such as ophthalmology, podiatry, and dental care for residents. - Conduct chart audits for compliance as requested and assist in regulatory and policy reviews in coordination with leadership. - Identify areas for improvement in resident care and offer actionable suggestions to enhance quality of life. - Complete annual competencies as required by the organization. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or GED. - Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure in Alaska. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Valid driver's license. - Minimum of 1 year of computer experience preferred and 2 years of public-facing experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. - Knowledge of general office procedures and a strong grasp of professional telephone etiquette. - Proficiency in basic computer programs (Excel and Word) as well as oral and written communication skills. - Strong prioritization and judgment skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with patients and healthcare professionals. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding resident and administrative matters. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
