**Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Night Shift – Hospital Setting** **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid New York license to join our team in a tertiary care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have hospital experience within the last two years, be capable of taking on a full patient assignment, and work the night shift (3x12-hour shifts). This position requires commitment to providing exceptional patient care around the clock. **Shift Details:** - **Shift Type:** Night (19:00 - 07:00) - **Schedule:** 3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend required - **Patient Ratio:** Nights - 6 patients per nurse **Facility Highlights:** - **Type of Facility:** Tertiary Care Hospital - **Total Staffed Beds:** 528 - **Charting System:** Epic - **Daily Census:** Approximately 26 patients - **Unit Capacity:** 27 beds - **Patient Age Groups:** Adults and Geriatrics **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including administering medications and treatments. - Monitor patient health and communicate any changes to the RN and medical team. - Assist in the management of anti-depressants, anti-hypertensives, and anxiolytics. - Perform clinical procedures including IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, and wound care. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Epic. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and isolation precautions. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. **Qualifications:** - Current LPN license in New York (in hand required for submission) - Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience preferred - Previous charge nurse experience is a plus - Proficiency in utilizing Epic as a charting system - Experience with critical care procedures (e.g., telemetry monitoring, blood glucose testing) **Skills Required:** - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently - Knowledge of nursing best practices and patient care standards - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care **Additional Requirements:** - Candidates must float within the hospital as needed - Compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccine guidelines (not required for this position) **Join Our Team:** If you are a passionate LPN looking to make a difference in a hospital setting while utilizing your skills and expertise, we would love to hear from you! --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
