**Job Title: Charge Nurse – Day Shift** **Job Type:** Travel Nursing **Shift:** Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM) **Weekend Requirements:** Two weekends every six weeks **Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in charge nursing, a proactive approach to leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee and coordinate patient care on the assigned unit. - Manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently. - Organize and participate in family meetings to discuss treatment plans. - Develop and implement individualized patient care plans. - Ensure compliance with evidence-based guidelines and medical necessity determinations. - Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. - Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems (Epic required). - Facilitate the arrangement of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and ambulance transport as needed. - Collaborate in the planning and implementation of care coordination and discharge planning. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of charge nursing experience in an acute care setting. - Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) preferred. - Familiarity with trauma levels I and II is preferred. - Travel experience is required. - Strong knowledge of charting systems (Epic experience mandatory). - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. - Must have current work history within the last 2 years. - Certifications in BLS and relevant specialties are required. **Patient Care Details:** - Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics. - Daily Census: Variable based on unit needs. - Interdisciplinary Support: Working with various medical teams to provide comprehensive care. **Additional Information:** - Orientation hours will be 40 hours. - All travelers are expected to float between facilities as needed. - Must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year's Day. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
