**Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry RN - 3x12-Hour Shifts** **Location:** Cleveland, OH **Shift:** Day (07:00 - 19:30) / Night (19:00 - 07:30) - Rotating shifts available **Contract Length:** Up to 18 weeks **Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a premier healthcare facility in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is ideal for RNs who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a telemetry unit. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, demonstrating proficiency in telemetry monitoring and intervention. - Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications as ordered. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and ensure effective treatment. - Maintain accurate patient records and document care interventions using electronic health record (EHR) systems. - Educate patients and families on health management, medication, and telemetry care. - Adhere to protocols and guidelines established by the facility. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 18 months recent experience as a Med/Surg Telemetry nurse. - Must have 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty before applying for a travel position. - Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license. - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. - Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation. **Additional Requirements:** - Availability to work at least every other holiday. - One professional reference from a supervisor, manager, or director in the specialty is required. - Candidates must be nicotine-free (temporary exemption for nurses). - Background checks and fingerprinting required prior to starting.
