**Job Title: CT Technologist** **Shift:** PM Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm, including call and holiday rotation **Job Summary:** The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care while performing a variety of tasks in a clinical setting. The primary duties include obtaining necessary supplies for procedures, maintaining sterility, preparing requisitions, and ensuring that patients and their families are informed before, during, and after procedures. The technologist must follow HIPAA regulations to uphold patient privacy, verify patient identification per established policies, and monitor patient conditions, specifically before and after contrast injections, reporting any concerns to nursing staff or radiologists. **Key Responsibilities:** - Obtain and prepare medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to established protocols. - Maintain sterility of the field and instruments. - Communicate effectively with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while respecting privacy and dignity. - Verify patient identification in accordance with organizational policies. - Monitor patient conditions pre- and post-contrast injections, reporting any changes. - Ensure the availability of medical records, reports, and patient history. - Initiate emergency response if complications arise. - Keep linen supplies and contrast media stocked and organized in each scanning room. - Participate in the routine cleaning and inventory management of the CT area. - Perform QA/QC checks as required to meet daily, monthly, and ACR specifications. - Rapidly process images in PACS/RIS for urgent cases such as Code Grey and Trauma. - Notify radiologists of any unusual findings to ensure optimal patient care. **Education and Credentials:** - Required: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from an accredited School of Radiography or College-based program. - Required Certifications: - ARRT RT (R) - ARRT RT (CT) - NJDEP New Jersey State X-Ray License - BLS Certification **Required Skills & Experience:** - Proficient in performing CT scans and ensuring patient safety. - Strong communication skills to facilitate patient interaction and teamwork. - Ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work environment. - Knowledge of emergency response procedures in clinical settings. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - N/A **Job Category:** Clinical - Allied **Guaranteed Hours:** 38 hours/week **Contract Duration:** 95 weeks --- At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
