**Job Title: Physical Therapist** **Location: [Specify Location]** **Shift: 8 or 10 hour days** **Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week** **Contract Duration: 91 weeks** **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, administering, and supervising physical therapy treatments aligned with physician referrals and industry standards. Your expertise will help patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. **Core Functions:** 1. **Patient Evaluation:** - Assess patients' functional abilities and limitations to determine the need for intervention. - Develop individualized treatment plans and establish measurable, functional treatment goals. - Collaborate with patients and their families during goal-setting and discharge planning processes. 2. **Implementation of Treatment Plans:** - Deliver customized treatment based on the patient's physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs. - Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and adjust care plans accordingly while involving the patient and family in the treatment process. 3. **Documentation:** - Maintain accurate and clear documentation according to professional practice guidelines and within departmental timeframes. - Ensure that documentation reflects skilled interventions, assessments, and patient progress, including modifications to treatment goals. 4. **Communication:** - Effectively communicate patient information and treatment results to physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams in a timely manner. - Proactively engage with physicians regarding patient care and treatment rationales based on evidence-based practices. 5. **Adaptability:** - Exhibit flexibility in managing patient caseloads and scheduling shifts. - Demonstrate initiative in assisting across various patient care areas, addressing all patient needs. 6. **Supervision and Delegation:** - Provide appropriate supervision and delegation of tasks to support staff, ensuring safe and effective patient care delivery. - Participate in the training of new personnel and verify their competencies prior to delegation of responsibilities. 7. **Department Participation:** - Attend departmental meetings and engage in process improvement initiatives. - Meet the productivity standards set forth by the department. 8. **Interdepartmental Interaction:** - Collaborate with diverse staff levels and external contacts regarding patient care, supporting optimal health outcomes. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program (APTA or equivalent). - Current Physical Therapy license in the state of practice. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Demonstrated clinical competency and relevant experiences to fulfill job requirements. **At ARMStaffing, we take care of our nurses!
