**Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse** **Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 AM - 05:30 PM) **Contract Length:** 12 Weeks **Experience Required:** Minimum 2 Years in Cardiac Cath Lab **Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. This role requires a strong focus on patient diagnoses related to acute myocardial infarction (MI), interventional procedures, and pre/post procedural care. Nurses must be flexible and prepared to float to other facilities as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide specialized nursing care during cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Administer procedural sedation and manage blood/blood products during transfusions. - Perform cardioversion, defibrillation, sheath removal, and oversee care of PICC lines, central lines, and other vascular devices. - Assist with biopsies related to gastrointestinal, genitourinary, renal, and peripheral vascular procedures. - Maintain sterile techniques and adherence to infection control standards while managing equipment set-up and documentation during procedures. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy to deliver comprehensive patient care. - Monitor patient progress, interpret dysrhythmias, and address any complications that arise during procedures. **Qualifications:** - Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or a compact state. - Active certifications in ACLS and BCLS required; additional certifications like ARRT R or CCI RCIS preferred. - Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic charting systems. - Previous charge experience and a strong understanding of patient ratios for cardiac procedures. - Experience with specialized equipment and a wide range of cardiac procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, and endovascular interventions. - Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. **Working Conditions:** - Daily patient census typically averages at least 10 with a staffing ratio of 1:1. - Responsibilities may include weekend call coverage for 1-2 weekends per month. **Additional Information:** - Must possess reliable transportation and a strong understanding of commute distances for local candidates. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective patient and team interactions. --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
