**Job Title: Oncology/Women's Surgical Nurse (RN/CNA)** **Shift:** 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM **Location:** Asheville, NC **Unit:** K9A - Oncology/Women's Surgical **Number of Beds:** 24 **Staffing:** 42 (1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC on Days; 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs on Nights) **Patient Ratios:** 1:4 or 1:5 **General Information:** We are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dynamic team in the Oncology/Women's Surgical unit. This role is essential in providing compassionate patient care while working collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in an oncology and women's surgical setting. - Perform routine assessments and monitor patient vitals. - Administer medications and manage IV therapies. - Participate in patient education about treatments and procedures. - Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner EMR system. - Assist with procedures such as pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis as necessary. **Qualifications:** - Required: Current RN or CNA licensure and BLS certification. - Preferred: Chemo certification and relevant experience in oncology or surgical nursing. **Best Fit:** Ideal candidates are team players willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to patient care excellence. **Floating:** Opportunities to float to other medical-surgical units may arise; however, team members rarely float. **Dress Code:** - RNs: Navy, white, or a combination of both colors. - CNAs: Galaxy Blue. **Scheduling:** Work schedule includes 6 required weekend days per schedule, with rare on-call duties. **Contract Details:** Guaranteed hours for 91 contract weeks, with a focus on fostering a supportive and proactive work environment.
