**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Acute Care** **Shift:** Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30) **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality patient care, with a focus on care coordination, discharge planning, and utilizing evidence-based practices. This position requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. - Coordinate and implement discharge planning and utilize InterQual criteria for patient assessments. - Engage with patients and families during care planning meetings, ensuring effective communication and understanding of treatment plans. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patient progress. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, specifically Epic. - Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with social services and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. - Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of charge experience in an acute hospital setting. - Strong background in utilization review and care coordination. - Experience with patient ratios and management in high-acuity environments. - Proficient in electronic health record systems, particularly Epic. - Understanding of complex patient diagnoses, including drug/alcohol abuse and mental health issues. - Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. **Certifications:** - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Additional certifications related to the specialty are a plus. **Work Environment:** - The position involves working closely with a diverse patient population. - Flexibility to float between facilities as needed based on department requirements. **Additional Information:** - Orientation hours will be provided to ensure readiness for the role. - Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day). --- **At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
