**Job Title: Labor & Delivery Nurse** **Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position involves providing maternal care, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring the immediate care of newborns and postpartum care for mothers. You will play a crucial role in supporting laboring moms and ensuring safe delivery outcomes in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive care for laboring mothers, including monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs. - Assist in the delivery process and perform immediate care for newborns. - Deliver post-delivery care and education to mothers. - Utilize computerized systems (Meditech) and fetal monitoring systems (GE/Centricity) for effective patient management. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. - Participate in on-call shifts as scheduled, which may include being available for a minimum of 12 hours at least once a month. **Requirements:** - Active Hawaii nursing license (or willingness to obtain prior to the start date). - Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing. - Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) are mandatory. - Recommended certifications include STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. **Shift Details:** - Variable day and night shifts with 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) following the completion of the first week of orientation. - Flexibility in shift assignments with no guaranteed hours or shift preference. **Work Environment:** - Labor and Delivery Unit with 8 labor beds and a postpartum area consisting of 18 beds. **Position Urgency:** Normal **Contract Length:** 91 weeks --- At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
