**Job Title: Emergency Room Care Manager RN** **Job Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Care Manager RN to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves coordinating patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong acute care experience and the ability to manage complex patient needs effectively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee patient care management in the Emergency Room, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate admissions, discharge planning, and follow-up care. - Utilize acute care expertise to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care. - Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives. - Float between various units as required to meet facility demands. **Qualifications:** - Must possess a valid Washington RN license or Compact license. - Minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care experience is required. - Certification in BLS is mandatory; CCM or ACM certification is preferred. - Familiarity with Milliman Guidelines or InterQual Criteria is advantageous. - Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred. **Job Specifications:** - Shift Type: 3x12 Hour Shifts (Day: 07:00 - 19:30; Night: 19:00 - 07:30) - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. - Floating required within scope to meet facility needs. - Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside beyond a 50-mile radius. **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment with a patient-focused approach. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with patients and teams. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. **Work Environment:** This position is set in a short-term acute care facility with a total of 325 staffed beds, supporting diverse patient demographics including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
